An alternative departure time can be arranged upon request, with the latest recommended start time at 1:00 PM, depending on the itinerary and sunset conditions. From Labuan Bajo, enjoy a scenic 40–45-minute drive to Rangko Village, a coastal village that serves as the gateway to the remarkable Rangko Cave.
Rangko Cave – A Hidden Natural Swimming Pool
Upon arrival at Rangko Village, meet your local boat operator and embark on a 15–20-minute boat ride along the coast to reach the beach near Rangko Cave. From the beach, take a short 5–10-minute walk to the cave entrance. Hidden within the limestone landscape, Rangko Cave is known for its natural pool of clear, blue seawater illuminated by sunlight entering through an opening in the cave ceiling. Take time to explore this unique natural attraction and, when conditions permit, enjoy a refreshing swim in the cave’s tranquil pool. The mineral-rich seawater provides buoyancy, making floating an enjoyable experience. You may also spot small fish swimming beneath the surface. Please take care when entering the water, as the rocks around the pool can be slippery. Water shoes are recommended for walking over the rocky terrain. Your boat operator will wait for you while you explore the cave before taking you back to Rangko Village. After your visit, return to Labuan Bajo by car and continue to the next destination.
