This 4-day itinerary combines culture, nature, and adventure, giving you a rich taste of Flores’ unique heritage. Lembor Rice Field – Discover one of Flores’ largest rice fields, offering breathtaking panoramic views of lush green terraces that stretch across the valley. Lingko Cara Rice Field – Visit this unique spider-web patterned rice field, a testament to the ancient agricultural traditions of the Manggarai people. Aimere – Explore the local distilleries in this small town famous for producing arak, a traditional alcoholic beverage made from palm sap. Rana Mese Lake – Relax by this serene crater lake surrounded by dense forest, ideal for a peaceful nature break and wildlife spotting. Bena Village – Step back in time at this well-preserved traditional village, known for its stone megaliths and unique thatched-roof houses representing the Ngada culture. Blue Stone Beach – Stroll along this stunning beach covered in natural blue pebbles, a rare and beautiful coastal wonder. Kelimutu – End your journey with a sunrise trek to Kelimutu, home to the iconic tri-colored crater lakes, offering a mystical and unforgettable experience.

DAY1: LABUANBAJO – RUTENG (L/D)

At 08:30am we will pick you up at your Hotel then drive to Ruteng. On the way we will be stop in Lembor Rice Field. The most common attraction in Lembor Village is definitely the formation of paddy fields or farms. That means you would be able to enjoy the serene nuance and the beauty of such landscape while exploring the village. No wonder, some photographers also choose Lembor as their photography site due to its attractive backgrounds. Lunch at local restaurant in Lembor. After lunch, continue to Lingko – An agricultural heritage. A lingko is a rice field that looks like a spider web, only found in Manggarai. While the nicest one can be seen in Cara Village. Continue to Ruteng, arrive in Ruteng check at Sky Flores Hotel or smilar. Dinner at local Restaurant and stay overnight at Hotel.

DAY2: RUTENG – BAJAWA (B/L/D)

Breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast drive to Bajawa. On the way we will be stop at Ranamese Lake. Rana Mese Lake is a mountainous natural reserve in East Manggarai regency. The lake is impressed with its dense forests and a 21-meter-deep crater lake at an altitude of 1220m. Rana Mese Lake located about 16 km from Ruteng and situated in the middle of the forest, surrounded by dense vegetation of mosses, scrubs, tropical woods, and water plants. The climate is comfortably fresh. Its calm and clear water makes it easy to spot freshwater fish. Lunch at local restaurant in Borong. After lunch continue to Aimere to tasting a local alcoholic beverage called Arak, which is made from the Lontar Palm tree. Arak is a very important part of the Florenese culture. No important event, ritual or ceremony takes place without Arak. To make the Arak, men would climb the Lontar Palm and flatten its fruits. The juice from the fruit would then drip into a bucket and after 6 days the liquid will drips into a bamboo pipe before going into a water bottle. This process takes about 6 days using different ‘drips’. The result for each would vary, giving you Arak with different volumes of alcohol. Continue to Bajawa. Arrive in Bajawa check in at Roo/Edelweis Hotel. Dinner at local Restaurant and stay overnight at Hotel.

DAY3: BAJAWA – ENDE – MONI (B/L/D)

Breakfast at Hotel. After breakfast visit Bena traditonal village. Bena, a community that is situated about 16km from Bajawa at the foot of Mount Inerie, is the most famous and also most visited village in the Ngada district. With its impressive stone formations and ancestral shrines, as well as traditional houses, Bena has turned into a signpost for Ngada culture. The village consists of two parallel rows of traditional, high thatch-roofed houses. Highly visible in the center of the village are Ngadhu and Bhaga, pairs of shrines – one for each clan of the village – representing the clan’s ancestors. The Ngadhu is an anthropomorphic umbrella-like pole embodying the male ancestor of a clan. The trunk is decorated with carvings and is topped with a warrior-like figure. The Ngadhu symbolizes fierceness and virility. After a new Ngadhu has been carved out of a special tree, the men of the village carry the pole in a ceremonial way into the village. The Bhaga, a female ancestral clan shrine, is a small hut with a thatched roof that resembles a miniature of a traditional house. It symbolizes the sanctuary of the house and the female body. The Bhaga offers enough space for one to two persons to hold rituals for female ancestors. Drive ahead to Blue stone beach to see how people collecting the stones and witnessing the various size of blue stones along black sandy beach. Lunch at the local restaurant in Ende town. After lunch drive ahead to Ndua Ria village and short stop here on the daily market of green vegetable and fruits. Then to Moni and direct check in at Kelimutu Ecolodge. Dinner and stay overnight at Kelimutu Ecolodge.

DAY 4 : MONI – KELIMUTU – MAUMERE/ENDE (B/L)

Early morning at 04:00AM drive up to Mt. Kelimutu for about an hour drive. Upon arrival at the parking lot, trekking through over than 200 stairs up to the top at monument to see its picturesque three color lakes and the beautiful sunrise over the lakes if the weather permits, return to the Hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, check out from Hotel then proceed to Maumere or Ende. Arrive in Maumere or Ende, lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, check in at the Airport for your flight back to the next destination. End of service.
